Raleigh, NC's first enclosed mall originally built in 1967 has come a long way! I grew up going to the mall, there was an Ivey's Dept Store that was eventually bought by Dillards. I remember either a K and W or K and S cafeteria. Today my favorite and many others is the K and W in Cameron Village....but I digress.... read more about the history here.....

Today you'll find great shoppes, a two story "Teeter" ( Harris Teeter ) with an elevator for your grocery cart. A 14 screen theatre, restaurants, condos, stacked flats, single family homes, townhomes, apartments and a hotel. Somehow JC Penney stood their ground and good for them! It's about the only thing that is left after the original North Hills was torn down. They have to be paying the cheapest rent of anywhere in town - rumor has it they had a 25 year lease when they started building the New North Hills

The North Hills website linked to above will tell you everything and more about this great part of Raleigh. For more about where to live, there are several searches below. Browse through them or create your own search. You're sure to find something from an apartment at Park and Market or a Milliion Dollar plus Manses to call home.
